I thank the creator for you all immensly. It goes without saying that a world of blessings have been given to me since the last post. I would like to apologize for being late and not keeping you all updated on the progress of my trip. First thing's first, I have a job!!! I work Mon-Fri at the illustrious Black Academy of Arts and Letters. I have been working there for two weeks now and I am one of seven interns. Each of us aid the instructors of the Summer Enrichment Program in the Arts and facilitate the instruction to over 519 school-aged students. I have been busy and tired! I am working with the costuming and dance staff and as a result have to pull items for the 519 students in the program! Costume changes are a nightmare. Only two of the interns are Dallasites (including myself, of course) and the rest are from DC, New Jersey, LA, Augusta, and Baton Rouge. We have been blessed to get a stipend every two weeks, which has undoubtedly aided me in getting my Visa, immunizations and making additional payments to the trip.
On Tuesday of last week we were charged with the duty of producing an original piece entitled 'Wine, Watermelon, and the Word." This project was in addition to our daily teaching duties so my mind was all over the place (and we only had a week to work on it)! This past weekend we put on our performance (I know I deserve to be chastised for not putting the info on this site).
In lieu of Ghana, I am sooooo excited! Thanks for all of your support, I have paid for 85% of the trip and will pay the other 15% after I get my last stipend check! Please stay tuned for more updates. I am praying for you all.

Hello Ava,
I hope that you are having a wonderful time. I am looking forward to reading about your adventures on this trip. Maybe when you get back, you can do a presentation of the event. Be safe and have a great time.
Love You,
George Keaton, Jr.
